Petition to ban confectionery at supermarket checkouts

The good news is that the till gauntlet may soon get easier because supermarket chain Lidl is the first to announce that it is removing all sweets, chocolates and crisps from checkouts in its 600 stores across the country in favour of healthier alternatives. So now it might be time to begin some parenting pester power, and get the other big players to follow suit. Come on Marks & Spencer (one of the worst culprits, with those pigging Percy Pigs), Tesco, Waitrose, Asda and Sainsbury's, help us mums and dads to stop the till tantrums by ditching the junk.
